Kim “Kimble” Schmitz drove twice the Gumball 3000. He entered the Gumball in 2001 with his Brabus Megacar and his E55 AMG service car. Unfortunately the E55 AMG crashed in the last stage of the rally. Three years later he entered again with a Mercedes, this time he came up with a “CL3000″ and a Brabus SL service car.
The tuned Mercedes Brabus SL demonstrated how fast this beast really was. Top speed? 193 mph (295 kmh). More pictures inside.

Rob Dyrdek and Big Black drove last year with the DC Shoes super rally team with 3 tuned Subaru WRX STI. These awesome custom cars were very reliable in the 2005 rally. To show you how really fast they went, we can show you a picture of it! They drove 165 mph!

On the way to their first checkpoint in France (Aubusson), Team GT3000 did the Gumball 2004 in a white Porsche GT3. When they lost in Paris, they said to each other “not more then 180 kph”. This resolution lasted for about two to five minutes, until there were suddenly 10 pairs of Xenon lights in their back mirror. A whole group of crazy Gumballers lead by the I CPU Porsche GT2 (aka Lonman) blew past their Porsche: they went right behind all of them and did their speed too. The roads were totally empty so they drove easily about the 170 mph (274 kph)!

During the Gumball 3000 - 2004 rally, Team 19 did a great job with there Porsche 996 GT3. On the way to Rick’s Cafe (Maroc), they drove 196 mph (316 km/h)…
