The start of this years Gumball 3000 is filmed by the British Television car program Fifth Gear.

The Gumballers will reach the US leg in just a couple of days. This is not the first time the Gumball 3000 rally held in the USA. In may 2003 the Gumball 3000 went from San Francisco to Louisiana.

Here is a TV host called “54321″ that coverage the rally in 2003. Lots of short footage from Tony Hawk (Team #1 - 2006 rally) and Ryan Dunn (Team #2 - 2006).

Performance BMW magazine tested the BMW E46 330d from Gumball Team AntandPete and compared it with the BWM E46 M3. The 25-year old Ant Howarth (the owner of the 330 car) is a competitor in the increasing popular 2006 Gumball 3000 rally and this 330d is his weapon of choice.

Update: PBMW magazine made a mistake… the 305bhp was at 4300 rpm not 2300 rpm as it says on page 4, that would make it prety undriveable to say the least!

Just 3 weeks left to the official start of the Gumball 2006. It will be an amazing spectacle at every Gumball checkpoint. The Gumball gets more and more a word wide reputation. This year participants comes from all over the world. One of the participants is an Austrialian guy. His name is James Striker and the Independent Monthly interviewed him about the Gumball. Just read this nice newspaper article.

Gumball 3000 featured in June 2005 glossy magazine Vanity Fair. Angelina Jolie is on the cover. Torquenstein featured along side Alex Roy, Adrian Brody, Jodi Kidd, Tony Hawk and other major Gumballers!
