This is the first crash of the Gumball 2006 at the German autobahn. Team 72 crashed with their Dodge SRT-10. We don’t know what’s happened.

The fourth day in the Gumball 2004 was a legendary day. After the crash of the Ford Escort Cosworth, this red Ferrari 360 (unknown) - friend of Gumball 144 Emma Payne rode shotgun as they cruised approximately 5 minutes ahead of Team Polizei (Alex Roy) northeast on a small road at the foot of the Atlas Mountains. Apparently they crested a hill and struck a tractor at high speed. The tractor was relatively unscathed, but the entire left side of the 360 was shorn off and the car hurtled into a ditch. Everyone walked away. The moral of the story is - don’t crest blind hills in Morocco at high speed, and always wear your seat belt.

Gumball 2004: From Fez to Nador, in the middle of the desert happens a really bad accident. It was the Torquestein Dodge Viper SRT10. There was a massive crowd of people standing there after the accident. The car looked really bad, but we were surprised to heard that Jerry and his co-pilot walked away from the car without any severe injuries.

Reyland Motorsports did the Gumball 2004 with a tuned Ford Escort Cosworth. Just some of the figures:  

• 0-60 2.88 seconds
• 0-100 6.06 seconds
• top speed 194 mph

During the rally he left of the road and rolled 4 times. The speed was uncertain, but he was going around the 150+ mph. The passanger wasn’t wearing his harness. Luckily he was be ok despite being thrown out of the car. He needed more then 100 stitches. The driver was doing all fine.

The only time a Volvo took part in the rally was during the Gumball 2004. The guys from Team 79 hit drove the rally with a tuned V70 R (250 bhp or something!). Look like they hit a bird or something…
