Time for some official updates from Gumball3000 and Team Polizei. Here is an update from the official homepage:

“Just spoke to a contact from team adidas, they are all the Gumballers are at Athens airport right now, enjoying a beautiful view of all the supercars down on the tarmac below them. He mentioned that the party was great in Istanbul. I should hopefully be getting some pictures of this soon. Word is that Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan also enjoyed the party and are now preparing for the White party in Greece. However they have not yet had the opportunity to prank, maybe tonight boys…”

Update:
“Reporting from Greek/Turkish border..100mph west bound on D110 Coast Road – Team Polizei, with three 1st place rivals so far, and still in first place overall, rejects air travel for Gumball eastern Europe.  Polizei declares air traveling boring and outmoded.  While all but three drivers fly ahead, Team Polizei skips flight to Athens.  Team Polizei now in 2nd place behind Team Aytac Ferrari 456 only 50km ahead.  Alex Roy deputizes Jarod Deanda and Andy “fly” Tipping, in diesel VW Minibus (ALK Tracking #15)  “Vengeancz is nicht sufficzient” strategie!

Update: 
“Team Polizei has joined forced with Jarod DeAnda and Andrew ‘Fly’ Tipping to drive from Istanbul to Athens.  Herr Roy has made it very clear that air travel is out dated and has decided to drive to Athens instead of wait for the Gumball plane in Istanbul, which still has yet to arrive.  Team Turkish Taxi is also driving to Athens, following several miles behind.  Being that Team Polizei is not in the Polizei M5, rather in a VW Sharon, track their progress using Tracker ID “Team 15″.

Update:
“After a police escort early this morning, the Gumballers finally made it to Hahn Airport, just west of Frankfurt.  Team Polizei’s goal of driving straight to Istanbul was subsequently abandoned after the German Police forbade Herr Roy and Master Piloten Ross from leaving the Hahn checkpoint. Team Polizei therefore joined fellow Gumballers for the plane ride to Istanbul where once they had arrived, received some discomforting news.  The planes carrying the cars to Istanbul from Hahn were not allowed to fly to Turkey; instead they were diverted to Athens. As of last report from Team Polizei, Gumball staff has announced that Gumballers will be flown to Athens and the rally will continue from there.”
