Dutch Goverment wants to banning the Gumball 3000

The Justice Ministry is looking at the possibility of banning international road rallies from the Dutch highways after two cars were seized when the international Gumball 3000 rally passed through the Netherlands on Sunday.

One Porsche and a Ferrari were confiscated after being driven at speeds of over 200 kph and overtaking on the right. Seven drivers, including US rapper and Pimp my Ride tv host Xzibit, lost their licences for breaking speed limits by over 50 kph.

‘There were no accidents but that is a question of luck,’ spokesman Koos Spee told the AD newspaper. ‘They were forcing other road users out of the way and we will not tolerate that.’

Some 70 drivers were also stopped for speeding in Germany. There were also incidents in Belgium, ANP reported. The cars will return through the Netherlands on their way back to London on May 6, but after changing the route it’s a big question if the Dutch Goverment let them go.

Gumball3000 is just a fancy name for a group of overly rich idiots with total disregard for the life of others. These speeding morons should be put away for attempted menslaughter. Let’s hope they overturn their cars with 200+kph.

These cars are made for speed and its all done for a bit of fun! I’m sure we would all do it if we could afford the £28,000! I know i would! Mmmmmmmmm…

    Ben.
I too saw the cars off in London and it was amazing. So they may have too much money than sense at times. What a great adventure, life is for living. I’m surprised you are on this website if you have no interest at all in fast cars and wish bad upon others in quite a harsh way. Anyway better be off as I’m trying to get together a savings plan of 28k for next years fund to myself enter the gumball. To join the rest of the over rich idiots, as I too like racing my rather nice car at high speeds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Won’t be seeing you there I take it !!!!

Lets just see 2 things :

    - there is a bunch of guys which are doing the Gumball, who are totally out of the Gumball spirit. They don’t care for others, and think be in the Gumball can make them do whatever they want on the road!!! As I said not all of them, just a minority of stupid
    - German Police (like some others police) profit of the Gumball to fill their country pocket giving tickets and others stuff. Ok, there is law, but there is some police abuse as well (like Spain did 2 years ago!!!)
